The Discover Scuba minicourse is the easiest, safest way to try scuba diving for the first time. In a single morning you go from never having breathed underwater to gliding over a living coral reef, always beside a PADI instructor.
What you'll learn
You start with a short PADI e-learning introduction and a briefing where your instructor explains the equipment, the hand signals and three basic skills.
Then you enter the water and practice clearing your mask, recovering your regulator and equalizing your ears, before setting off on a guided 40-minute dive along the reef.
Requirements
From age 10, in reasonable health and comfortable in the water. No swimming certificate or prior experience required. You complete a short medical questionnaire before diving.
