Bajo humedo is one of the 29 dive sites we run around Isla Fuerte, in the Colombian Caribbean. It sits at a maximum depth of 8 metros and is classified as Todos los niveles, which makes it a site for divers of all levels, including beginners.
The dive
After a briefing on the boat, you descend along the reef slope into calm, clear water. At around 8 meters the light is bright and the coral gardens are full of small reef life. A typical dive here lasts 40 to 50 minutes, and your guide adapts the route to the current and the conditions of the day.
In March, April and May the visibility is at its best, sometimes so clear you can choose your entry from the surface.

What you'll see
Divers regularly encounter here: Corales: Acropora cervicornis, Orbicellas, agaricias. Peces: Creoles, peces angel, pez leon, pulpo, tortuga verde, rayas latigo, mero cabrilla, peces sargento, pargos, peces mariposa, cirujano, damiselas, cojinuas, peces loro, peces ardilla, trompeta, pez tamborin, morenas, pez obispo, langosta.
Remember that every dive is different, and part of the magic of Isla Fuerte is never knowing exactly who will show up.
